1986 Group from Primary to U16

THIS SECTION RELATES TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE 1986 GROUP UP TO THE 2002 SEASON

Under-15 (Born 1986) Annual Report 2001

Twenty-three players were used during the course of the league and championship. The team was unlucky not to qualify for the play-offs of the league, winning three of their games, drawing 1 and losing 2.

While the results tended to be inconsistent, injuries to key players during the season contributed in some way to this fact. The team received a bye in the first round of the championship, and met Sarsfields in the quarterfinal. Following a tough encounter the team were beaten by 3 points. Brian Cashman, Cormac O'Keefe, Mark Horgan and Tim Kelleher represented Seandun at under-15 level, winning the interdivisional tournament organized by the City Bord na nOg. Tim Kelleher was also selected on the Cork under-15 team.

Finally, the contribution of Ger Dineen to this particular team is greatly missed. He was a great friend to both players and fellow selectors.
