Coaching the Coaches Foundation Course Report |

A total of 28 Rocky coaches completed the Foundation course on the 24th April.
We are hoping to hold a certificate presentation evening at the club in the near
future as soon as the certificates are awarded by Croke Park to the
participants.
Tom Nott, county board coach reviewed the CD Rom of the OTú coaching model devised and developed by Pat Daly of the G.A.A. This revolutionary new guide to total playing performance in hurling is an outstanding achievement. We are hoping to make this guide available to the various coaching groups within the Minor and Primary sections of the club over the next few months. Our intention is to proceed to the Level 1 coaching course if there are sufficient numbers of coaches willing to undertake the course. If interested, contact Eamon O Donoghue, or the Saturday morning coordinators. Our thanks to all the coaches who gave up valuable personal time to come and complete the course. Tom Nott did a great job and passed on many useful tips as well as sensible advice. The catering committee of Pat, Aidan and Ger put on a great spread each night. Well done everybody.
