Church Road, Blackrock will be the place to be when the Feile na nGael hurling extravangza comes to town on June 16th 2006.. The Feile na nGael is the G.A.A's national competition for U-14 hurling. The opening games are played at various Cork venues on June 16th and 17th, with the finals being played in Pairc Ui Caoimh on Sun 18th. This is the second year in a row that the Feile na nGael comes to the Cork. Each home club 'hosts' one visiting club from outside the county. This year we are hosting "Durlas Og" from Thurles Co. Tipperary. The Durlas Og club have a long association with BLACKROCK, with numerous trips in both directions for challenge matches and tournaments over the recent years. And so, we look forward eagerly to meeting up with them again in the middle of June. Of course we also welcome the local St Finbarrs club, and the visiting Adare club, who are being hosted by St. Finbarr's. Our group consists of the following teams :-
The group winner will advance to a quarter-final, and if successful a semi-final on Sat afternoon/evening.
