Fáilte Chathaoirleach Choiste an Chontae ón Eamonn Ó Coinn, 29/05/2007 Cuirim failte agus fiche roimh gach inne go dti Feile na nGael anseo i gCill Chainnigh ar mo shon féin agus ar son Choiste an Chontae. Ta suil agam go mbainfidh gach inne taitneamh as an ocaid agus as na gcluichi. It is a great honour and privilege for me on behalf of Kilkenny GAA County Board to welcome the 2007 National Feile na nGael to our County. It is a particular honour for us to be hosting this competition in Kilkenny during the Presidency of Nicky Brennan Visitors to Kilkenny will quickly realise how much the games of hurling, camogie and handball mean to the people of Kilkenny and how proud we are to host Feile as a celebration of all that is good in our national games. The successful staging of Feile na nGael would not be possible without a great deal of work behind the scenes and I wish to acknowledge the outstanding work of our local organising committee, under the chairmanship of Barry Hickey. Attention to detail has been the hallmark of each subcommittee in putting the entire programme together and I thank them most sincerely for their work. It is also important that the contribution of our neighbours from Carlow in the staging of this Féile be acknowledged. Carlow GAA both at County Board and at Club level have done a tremendous job in preparing for Féile and their full co-operation is very much appreciated. I wish all the participants success in their games and remind them that the county stars of today all began their careers at juvenile level with their clubs and many of them played in Féile na nGael. No doubt many of the players participating here this week end will feature at the highest level in the years to come. Finally, may you all enjoy your time in Kilkenny and return to your respective counties with happy memories of Feile na nGael 2007 Go n-éiri linn go léir Is Mise, Eamon Coinn, Cathaoirleach Coiste Chontae Chill Chainnigh.
