FLOODLIGHTING AND PITCH REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Fundraising Race Night, Friday March 13th. 2009.

At Curraheen Greyhound Stadium

The final part of the redevelopment of our club's playing infrastructure is due to commence shortly.

This will involve the laying of a new sandbased pitch on our back field with floodlighting, as well as the provision of a new artificial training pitch with hurling walls behind our sports hall.

When finished, this will allow us to adequately cater for the ever increasing numbers of young players using our facilities.

We now have over 600 primary children attending, in addition to the large number of juvenille and adult members.

Our sister clubs, St. Michael's GFC, Blackrock Camogie Club, and St. Michael's LFC will also have access to these facilities, and this increases the number involved very significantly.

The finance involved in this project is very considerable.

While we would hope to source external funding through grants etc., the reality is that the bulk of fundraising will have to be organised by the club itself.

To this end, the above Race Night is vitally important.
