Mick Cashman Cup Finals.

These were held in Church Road on Saturday 26th September. A total of eight teams from 5 clubs took part. The Barrs captured the Plate defeating Eire Og in the final. A hat trick for James Leahy was the highlight, while Aidan Cahill, Eoin Healy, Bill O’Connell were outstanding. Ronan Hennessy was one proud hurler when he received the Plate from Tom Cashman.

The Cup Final between Na Piarsaigh and Sarsfields was a real cracker with the result in doubt right to the last puck.Sars came out on top 1 – 2 to 0 – 3 for a brave Na Piarsaighs outfit. Sean Murphy got the all important goal for Sars while Luke O’Leary got a vital point in the second half. When referee Donal Fleming blew the final whistle Sars were delighted, none more so than Ryan Butler captain of Sars when he received the Mick Cashman Cup from Ann Cashman.
