Finals Sept 24th, 2005 The C3POs emerged victorious in the Star Wars final against the Darth Vaders after a superlative display by seven year old Captain Tadhg Deasy and David Dalton. The brave Vaders led by Captain Sean O'Callaghan did their very best and finished strongly. The Inter Galactic Final was captured by the Jedi Knights commanded by John O'Sullivan which had a hard fought victory over favourites R2-D2s led by Mark O'Leary. There was just a goal in it at the end! The Empire Cup Final turned up another surprise when the Siths surprised the Droids and ran out on top by 3 --- 2 to 2 --- 0. The Siths were ably lead by an inspirational Jacob Buckley while the leadership of John O'Shaughnessy for the Droids was excellent. The Federation Cup Final went to the Naboos who were just ahead of the Skywalkers at the final whistle. Naboos Captain Mark Cunningham led by example and Mark Morton for the Skywalkers was also a class act. To coaches John O'Brien and Colm Daly go the bragging rights for 2005! Round 3 Sept 17th, 2005 Darth Vaders 7 --- 2 Naboos 4 --- 0 The end result of this game does not reflect the brave challenge by the Naboos to the table topping Vaders. It was only in the final minutes that the Vaders pulled away. Simon O'Brien, Sean Lynch and Colm Walsh were outstanding for the Vaders, while Hugh Brien, Kieran De Saulles and Mark Madden put up a brave display for the Naboos. Jedi Knights 4 --- 1 Droids 2 --- 0. The Knights have a very power team with Sean Connell, Carl Brazier, Cian O'Brien and William Cogan playing very well at present, they will take some stopping in the Inter-Galactic Cup Final next Saturday. The Droids were disappointed after their brilliant win last weekend, however Billy White, James O'Leary and Eoin O'Leary can be very proud of their great efforts. Skywalkers 4 --- 2 Siths 4 --- 0 This was a hard fought game with the Skywalkers pulling off their first success in the "Star Wars" league with an unexpected victory. Stars on the morning were Conor Twomey, Ryan Coleman, and Cian Sheedy O'Sullivan. The Siths tried very hard and were unlucky not to get the all-important final goal. The C-3s continued on their winning ways with a good victory to qualify for the "Star Wars" Cup Final.
