Super-Leagues U10 and 11 Reports 2002

Under 10's and Under 11's report and league table

Round 3

After some excellent play by players on all 4 teams, the Rockies and Rovers had good wins in Round 3.

                    Rockies     8-1              Saints        2-1

                    Rovers       6-2              Rebels        0-1

This means that because of better scoring difference, the Rovers just edge out the Saints and qualify to meet the Rockies in the SuperLeague Final while the Rebels play the Saints in the Plate final.

Round 2

Results

Rockies 2-3 Rebels 1-2

Rovers  3-0 Saints 2-4

Last night (Apr 30th) saw 2 more very close matches. Rockies just about held out after a tremendous 2nd half onslaught from a depleted Rebels side. Saints did just enough to force a single point victory over the Rovers. This match was in the balance up until the last puck of the game.

Well done to all the young players.

Thanks to all you got the show on the road and especially again to Pat Roche and Maurice Griffin for refereeing.

Please try and be there at 6.25 next Tue. as we want to start at 6.45 sharp.

Round 1

Results
Rockies 5-2 Rovers 5-2 (a draw)
Saints 2-4 Rebels 1-7 (a draw)

Round 1 went off with a bang on Tue 23rd. April.
Amazingly both matches finished all square !
Some excellent individual displays, some people making a name for themselves, and a great turn out of support all made it a great start to the 1st of 4 nights action.
The Rovers took a healthy lead into half-time against the Rockies, but pulling out all the stops, the Rockies forced a draw in the 2nd half.

The Saints and the Rebels match was nip and tuck all through and after 40 mins also came out a draw.

Many thanks to all who helped out especially the coaches who took the teams (Norman O' Leary, Sean Walsh, Brendan McCurtain, Kieran O' Sullivan, Donal Buckley) and the people who helped umpire
and get the pitches ready.
A big thank you also to the 2 referees on the night - Maurice Griffin and Pat Roche.
