played at Church Road Saturday 22nd April 2006.

Blackrock 3 --- 12 Carrigaline 0 --- 6.

A blistering start from Blackrock left the result of this league tie never in doubt from the opening minutes. Early goals from Tom Kelleher and David O'Mahony along with two quick additional points from the flying O'Mahony ensured a comfortable lead for the Rockies. Two further points from Colman Ruiseal as well as four from Pat Deasy from play and placed balls put the Rockies in a commanding lead. A solo effort from David Healy just before half time left the half time position at 3 --- 8 to 0 --- 1. The sole Carrigaline score was a point from David Drake.

The second half saw Carrigaline playing with the wind however they were very dependent on scores from placed balls by David Drake. Kaelen Spillane and Eoin Kavanagh got their first scores from play in the final minutes. Blackrock played a containment game with Pat Deasy continuing to add points from frees along with a fine point from Eoin O'Farrell to finish the game.

Paul O'Brien in goal had a fine game while Cathal Hannon and Mark Ryan were rock solid. Pat Deasy is revelling in his new role up front while David O'Mahony is developing into a very strong player up front for the Rockies. Blackrock were in good form throughout the pitch, and were completely dominant on the day against a subdued Carrigaline team.
