The William Ahern Tournament 2004 Report

William Ahern Trophy success.

The Blackrock under 11 team achieved a magnificent success when they captured the William Ahern trophy at Church Road last Saturday. They emerged victorious in glorious sunshine from a top class field of under 11 teams representing five counties. The young Rockies defeated James Stephens in the semi-final and went on to overcome Roanmore in the final on the scoreline of 3 --- 7 to 1 --- 4.  James Stephens captured the Plate final when they defeated Lismore in the final. The trophies and medals were presented to the winning teams by Cork star Wayne Sherlock.
