- Round 2 June 14th

The grounds at Church Road were packed to the rafters on Saturday 14th June for the inaugural blitz of the 2008 Mick Cashman Cup and the Blackrock Superleagues There was great excitement as 8 teams took the field in the second round of the Blackrock Super Leagues sponsored by Carey Tool Hire. Almost 90 young Rockies are playing in this super league and the excitement is growing with the finals set for Saturday 28th June. At present the Bandits, C4s and Vagabonds are leading the way but the Comrades and Cafflers can still qualify. The Pirates, Desperados and Amigos have a fighting chance so it's still all to play for.

- Round 3 June 21st

In spite of bad weather, a full schedule of games was played last Saturday resulting in victory for the Vagabonds, Pirates, C4s and Comrades.

The Blackrock Super Leagues for the 7 and 8 year old boys has now reached the finals stage. After some great excitement over the past three weeks the following is the finals line up.

Champions Final:

Vagabonds V C4s

Challengers Final:

Bandits V Comrades

Competitors Final:

Cafflers V Pirates.

Contenders Final

Amigos V Desperados.

 

- Finals  June 28th

Champions Final. Vagabonds emerged as victors over the C4s. To Paul O'Callaghan go the bragging rights for 2008 although Conor Butler and David Madden can consider themselves extremely unlucky

Challengers Final Bandits robbed the Comrades in the final minutes.

Competitors Final. The Pirates boarded the unlucky Cafflers.

The Desperados throwing caution to the wind captured the Contenders Final over the brave Amigos.
