Blackrock U/9s are currently on tour, and travelled to Togher to play the Barrs last Saturday, They played a number of small sided games initially before finishing off with a 15 a side game. A great hours hurling was had by all on their all weather facility.

The previous week they travelled to Na Piarsaigh, and although the original plan was to play outdoors, the incessant rain necessitated a switch to indoors where a series of matches were played.

A highlight was the appearance of current Cork Captain John Gardiner who kindly facilitated all requests for autographs.

u/9 Hurling

Sars visited Church Road last weekend to play a challenge match against our u9 section. Despite the deteriorating weather conditions both games produced superb hurling with the skills of the game very much in evidence among these young stars of the future.

Sars just edged out the Rockies team to take victory by the narrowest of margins but all the young Rockies can be very proud of their efforts.

A big thank to Sars for making the journey and we look forward to more challenge games in the future.
